Capture is the beginning of the asset workflow
We plan scanning around the subject, the required detail and the destination. Capturing a person, a small product and an environment introduces different practical constraints and different expectations for the final model.
We assess access, lighting, surface characteristics and the detail that needs to survive in the final experience. Reflective, transparent or moving subjects may need a different approach. The brief should distinguish raw capture from a cleaned model, a retopologised asset or a fully integrated character.

Decide what must be faithful to the original.
A photogrammetry services brief should distinguish visual fidelity from measurement accuracy. A model intended for a distant background asset does not need the same capture density or cleanup as a close-up digital double. Identify which features must remain faithful, how the result will be viewed and whether the subject can be prepared for capture. Access restrictions and changing lighting can affect the plan for environments. For people, establish consent, permitted uses and handling of capture data before production. These decisions shape both the capture method and the work required after reconstruction.

Is a scan automatically ready for a game engine?+
Usually not. Geometry, textures, scale and topology may need further work. We define whether the deliverable is raw data, a cleaned scan or an optimised asset.
Can scanning reproduce engineering tolerances?+
Do not assume that a visual-production scan is metrology-grade. Required accuracy and validation methods must be explicitly agreed for any measurement-sensitive use.
What information helps you scope a scan?+
Subject size, material, location, available access, intended use and required output format. Photographs of the subject are a useful first reference.
