Mimic XR / Berlin
XR for healthcare training
Create a controlled environment for practising communication, orientation and agreed training scenarios. Healthcare content needs clinical ownership and validation from the organisation commissioning it.

Define the learning task precisely
A ward orientation, equipment familiarisation and a communication scenario have different requirements. Start with the learner’s role and the decision or sequence to practise. Agree which parts are educational representations and which require validated clinical accuracy before production begins.
Keep clinical review in the production process
Qualified subject specialists should review scripts, terminology, visual assets and feedback. Capture the approved version and a process for updates. Mimic XR provides experience and content production; a simulation is not evidence of clinical effectiveness, accreditation or suitability for diagnosis.
Use appropriate data and access boundaries
Prefer fictional scenarios and approved synthetic records during development. Define access controls and retention before collecting learner results or recording sessions. Real patient information should not be placed into a prototype. The commissioning organisation’s privacy and governance teams need to review the proposed handling.
Evaluate the learning experience
A pilot can test comprehension, usability, comfort and whether learners can complete the agreed scenario. Include alternatives for people unable to use the selected device. Any claim about clinical outcomes requires a suitable study and approval; it should not be inferred from completion rates alone.
Questions before you brief us.
Is this a medical device or diagnostic service?
This page describes content and training development. Any regulated intended use requires separate specialist assessment and validation.
Who approves clinical accuracy?
The commissioning organisation’s qualified subject specialists must approve clinical content and assessment criteria.
Can we use fictional patients?
Yes. Fictional scenarios can support training development without exposing real patient records.
Can results connect to an LMS?
This can be scoped where the required standards, permissions and data responsibilities are agreed.
