Location-based immersive experiences

Create an experience that belongs to a place. We combine spatial storytelling, interactive content and real-time production for venues where the visitor journey matters as much as the screen.

Start with the visitor journey

Define who is arriving, how they discover the experience and how much time they can spend. A timed headset session, an interactive installation and a shared projection have different operating models. The concept should explain the audience action and the experience’s place within the wider venue.

Design for throughput and access

Queueing, onboarding, participation, reset and exit all contribute to capacity. Test these steps with representative visitors and operators. Provide a meaningful alternative where a headset or movement-based interaction is unsuitable. Language, seated use, sensory load and staff assistance should be discussed at concept stage.

Build content around the operating space

The asset pipeline can include environments, digital characters, scanning, animation and interaction logic. Physical dimensions, sightlines, sound spill and equipment positions constrain the design. A site survey and representative prototype help identify those constraints before final production.

Prepare the handover

A working build needs operating instructions, version control, restart procedures and clear responsibility for equipment and content support. Agree what happens during network failure and how the installation returns to a known state. Measure successful sessions and operational interruptions alongside audience feedback.

Questions before you brief us.

Is this only for VR headsets?

No. The format may use screens, projection, mobile AR or headsets, depending on the venue and audience.

Can an installation run without internet?

Some formats can. Licensing, content updates, authentication and reporting dependencies must be tested before promising offline operation.

How do you estimate visitor capacity?

Use observed onboarding, session and reset time, available stations and staffing. Validate the estimate in a pilot.

What does the brief need?

A floor plan, audience profile, expected opening hours, operating team, budget range and the story or task visitors should experience.
